Boston Bay 'The Clare' Riesling 2009 :: Tasting Notes |
| You win some, you lose some. After the stunning Boston Bay Riesling of 2008, things looked very good here. Then, suddenly it was 46 degrees in the shade, a blistering northerly whacked in, and the tip of Eyre Peninsula was on fire. Our riesling did not cope. So winemakers, Nick Walker and David O'Leary, have selected this crisp, pristine riesling from their favourite vineyards in Watervale, in the Clare hills. |

Boston Bay Spatlese Riesling 2008 :: Tasting Notes |
|
The 2008 vintage was again very kind in the Port Lincoln area with low yielding crops ensuring very good riesling flavours. This riesling displays all the hallmarks of great riesling character; zesty lime dominates the bouquet with hints of lemon and citrus. The palate is flavoursome, even and long, balanced by natural acidity. |

Boston Bay Shiraz 2007 :: Tasting Notes |
| Red brick colour with a slight purple tinge. Full bodied, soft wine style. The bouquet shows great blackberry, white pepper and fruit concentration on the palate. Earthy rich and concentrated, this wine will benefit from careful cellaring over the next 5 – 7 years |

Boston Bay Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 :: Tasting Notes |
| Brick red colour – slight purple hue. Dark berry fruits with hints of violets enhanced with fine subtle French Oak – new and older. Flavoursome and rich fruit flavours, great depth and length. The mid palate shows great texture and length with very long fine tannin. Cellar maturation 7 – 10 years. |
History: 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon won gold at the 2000 Royal Adelaide Wine Show
2004 recieved 4 stars in Winestate Magazine. |

| This dangerously attractive wine was made after the forgotten Australian Mistelle tradition, where unfermented grape juice, in this case our white grape pressing, was fortified with fine grape spirit and then aged in oak. |
